Three students who stayed in Fallowfield.

Manchester is a city close to our hearts. Our three landlords, Dan, Rick and Luke, met when living in Fallowfield whilst at university in Manchester during the early nineties. Back then Fallowfield was still the student hub it is today, although the typical accommodation at the time was limited to box bedrooms, woodchip walls and mismatched furniture.

Four years passed; the Haçienda closed, and once the student loan payments had dried up the rat race of real life beckoned. Dan, Rick and Luke each chose to stay in Manchester, opting for a local call centre over returning to the satellite towns of Yorkshire and Lancashire.

But the world of telecoms was not for them. On a Tuesday afternoon, with the security of ten houses under his belt, Dan was the first to go it alone. Rick and Luke soon followed, and (after a brief stint of running the office from a car boot) House Manchester was born.

The landlords don’t live in Fallowfield any more, but they’ve never forgotten the years spent in M14. Today you’ll find us in the same office we opened in 2006, in the heart of Fallowfield, a five-minute walk from Wilmslow Road. So give us a call, book in, and come and see for yourself.
